AI storyboard

An AI storyboard generator that hears the story

Planetanium generates a complete storyboard from your narration or script — timed scenes, coherent shots, consistent characters — and plays it back as an animatic synced to your audio.

From script to storyboard, automatically

Give Planetanium a narration recording or a typed script, and the agent does what a storyboard artist does on day one:

  • Breaks the story into scenes and shots, each anchored to its exact moment on the audio waveform timeline.
  • Identifies characters and locations and builds reusable reference sheets for them, so the hero looks like the hero in shot 3 and shot 40.
  • Generates the panels in your chosen style — cinematic, anime, manga, watercolor, pixel art, technical drawing, and more — square, landscape, or portrait.
  • Checks its own work — the agent looks at its frames, catches inconsistencies (a character on the wrong side of the room, an object out of nowhere), and fixes them.

A storyboard you can play

This isn’t a static grid of panels. The storyboard lives on a timeline with your audio: scrub it, loop a selection, and watch the animatic play in sync with the narration. Move, resize, split, and merge shots; regenerate or restyle any panel; derive a new image from a previous shot for continuity.

When the boards work, keep going — add pan and zoom, turn key panels into AI video clips, and export a finished animatic as MP4/WebM, or send the whole timeline to DaVinci Resolve or Final Cut Pro as FCPXML for the real edit.

For filmmakers, animators, and pitching

Previsualize a scene before shooting it, pitch a series with a playable animatic instead of a PDF, or block out an animation before committing to production. The storyboard is the deliverable — or the first draft of the film.

Planetanium has no subscription — pricing is pay-as-you-go per generation. See the full feature list or the FAQ.
